About BUNACO Aomori Prefecture is home to the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Site, one of the world’s largest virgin beech forests. Beech wood, which contains high moisture content, was once considered difficult to process and deemed “useless wood,” leading to large-scale logging. BUNACO was developed to effectively utilize this beech wood.
