Etoile Kaito & Co., Inc. (Head office: Nihonbashi Bakurocho, Tokyo; President: Kinnosuke Hayakawa), a membership-based wholesaler that handles about 700,000 items (SKU) related to “clothing, food, and housing,” has released a “Scanning App” for its member retailers on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
\nAll you have to do is download the app to your smartphone and scan the barcode on the product you want to purchase, and you will be able to complete the entire purchasing process from order placement to payment within the app.
\nUntil now, customers have been purchasing products at Etoile Kaito, either by taking the products with them at the store and paying at the register at the end, or by using ETONET (e-commerce site) to place an order from the retailer’s store. The new app will significantly reduce the time and effort spent on transporting products and entering item names and item numbers.
\nFurthermore, whenever and wherever you find a product you want, you can scan the barcode and instantly know whether or not Etoile Kaito carries it, and if it is available, you can immediately place an order for it.

By scanning the barcode of a product found in Etoile Kaito, you can check the product information and availability immediately, and put it directly into the app’s cart for payment. Until now, customers used to have to walk around the store with the actual product they wanted and bring it to the register for payment. Exciting encounters with new products are now easier than ever, and you can make better use of your time in the store.<\/p>\n

The app is also useful for placing refill orders at your store. You can scan the barcode to check how much is in stock at Etoile Kaito and place an order quickly while looking at the store’s stock status in the moment. For example, if you write down the number of refill orders in a memo at the store, go to the computer, and then use the computer to enter and order again from ETONET, it takes about 60 seconds to enter one item. With the scanning app on the smartphone, it only takes about five seconds. Furthermore, you can add items to the app’s cart and share information such as the number of orders with your staff, which will help you manage your store’s orders.<\/p>\n
